Shikitei

Shikitei is a restaurant well outside Matsushima's tourist area. If you are in the Matsushima Station area, this is a very nice choice for dinner. The menu has a fairly extensive section of Japanese dishes with seafood at the center. Local seafood specialties include oyster and anago eel dishes. I r...eally enjoyed an anago over rice dish but have been a few times and was never disappointed. Prices are quite reasonable with fairly elaborate dinner sets available for around 1000 yen. Decor is elegant if a bit faded.
