“Yummy noodles”
The Inaniwa noodles here are superb! I don’t normally like udon but these ones were thinner and smoother (similar texture to rice noodle but chewier) so I enjoyed them quite a bit. I ordered the clam udon for lunch and it was a healthy tasty portion. My husband ordered the curry duck(?) udon and it ...came in soup whereas mine was more of a saucy noodle. The cheque came to under 2000Y. I would recommend and also buy some boxed dry noodles for souvenirs. They have a display of their products for sale.

I tried a lunch putting together Akita dishes. Probably due to having a lot of plates, hot foods are not hot and noodles are not taste good.

“Delightful”
My friends and I were brought to Mugendo by our Japanese hosts so I have no idea how much a meal costs but, whatever it was, the food was worth it! We were made to try dish after dish after dish of sushis, sashimis, prunes with edible gold, plum wine, hot sake, cold sake, pickled fish, soups, shabu-...shabu tongue and beef and all sorts of exotic dishes. This being my first time to try plum wine, I must say I loved it. The food was excellent. There are tables downstairs and function rooms upstairs. All are equally comfortable. The function rooms were beautiful, with artsy windows and light fixtures. The service was fast and not lacking in anything. Another round of plum wine please!
