Suishin Main store

I visited here because I search for best anago in town and I find this place. I need to wait for 10 minutes and they can get me the seat (I think this restaurant always crowded, since I see a few chairs for someone like me, waiting in line). The food taste great and everything is nice.

We had a great meal at Suishin Honten. We had a series of very small plates. My meal was almost exclusively oysters (the specialty in Hiroshima) and was excellent. Highly recommended. Not super expensive either.

We have never heard of this restaurant and ran into it by a chance when we were wondering in the street of 八町堀 to look for a place for dinner, and we wanted to try the famous oysters in Hiroshima. It was a great surprise and it satisfied our taste buds in every bite of their foods. The waiter speaks... decent English (we believe most of the waiters at the famous eateries in Hiroshima does) and we ordered the oysters in four cooking styles, pork on hot stone and the conger rice pot. It was perfect and very filling! Strongly recommended!

Great set fish for lunch. Not crowed during day time. We had two tasty lunches, worth money paid. No English menu available, but Japanese menu with pictures and helpful waitress made ordering easy.

The staff was polite. Even though the English level is poor throughout, they still service with a smile. I ordered a pair of oysters but only one arrived. We ordered the famous claypot rice as an add on and a set arrived. Complications aside, this is definitely not the best Japanese food I have ta...sted but the feel is authentic. A beef set, a sashimi bowl for two (extremely small pieces) , a claypot rice set and one single oyster came to be 8.1K yen. That's not cheap by any standards. Judging from what the locals eat, claypot rice set is the only thing they have.
