“Terrible!”

One of the most terrible testaurants I’ve ever had. We ordered 1 month in advance. Took them 1.5 hours to get our appetizer ready!! Everybody else’s went home but me and my fam. The food was so so.

“Sublime sushi”

When I saw the other reviews I was skeptical- as it turns out for no reason. The sushi was sublime which is why I came back 3 out of the 4 nights I was in Hiroshima. I also enjoyed the 6 course meal extravaganza which, although delicious, was too much food for me and I had to leave many of the cour...ses woefully uneaten 😥 not because I didn’t enjoy the dish but simply because it was too much food 😳. Which is why I stuck to sushi 2 of the 3 nights - although you want to keep eating, you know better and can restrain yourself, barely! The fish is just so fresh and the oyster soy sauce adds a certain touch.

“Bad Service”

I’m in Hiroshima with my husband and we chose Sheraton to be our hotel waiting for them to speak at least a little bit of English. The front desk attendants are amazing, they speaks English very well. But I can’t say the same for Miyabi-tei (restaurant on the 7th floor). I’m from Brasil and I it is ...my first time in Japan, it’s a trip to DISCOVER the culture, food and people. We ordered a dish (with wagyu) and they just put everything on the table and let them with no explanation about how to cook, how many minutes each ingredient would need, I tried some help but no one speaks English at the restaurant and didn’t do any kind of effort to help. It was totally new for me and it was a big shame! Very bad experience. Don’t recommend at all.

“Delicious food - bad service”

Went here to celebrate our anniversary, as we stayed in the Sheraton. We both had the set menu which includes tempura, soup, Wagyu, Sushi... (and hotel guests receive 50% off). Food was great - compliments to the chef! But: I have never seen such an incompetent and helpless service before, espec...ially not in an expensive hotel like the Sheraton. Language barrier is one thing (which I kind of expect to be non-existent in an American hotel). But our dinner turned into a dinner and a show due to slapstick comedy of service staff. Wrong food brought to the table, taken back by another waiter, just to be brought back by the first. Guests trying to explain a special request in their menu, then giving up after several minutes. Customers storming out of the restaurant, other customers peeking out of their private dinner rooms every few minutes to find service staff.... New guests were sat at tables that had not been cleaned yet. We asked for an extra serving of Wagyu (because it was really good!) before the dessert. One waiter smiled and nodded, turned away and hysterically spoke into her walkie-talkie, 20 seconds later another waiter serves us the dessert.... The whole crew seemed so helpless and overwhelmed to the point we felt sorry for them. It appeared they were busy using their walkie-talkies and had no time tending to the guests. Working in the industry myself it hurt to see such rookie mistakes being done (no structure, everyone is trying to do everything, but in the end nobody is doing anything right) in such a place. Drinks are incredibly expensive! In addition to that the restaurant itself lacks atmosphere, it felt like dining in the main station. I cannot recommend going there. Food is delicious but Service staff can’t keep up with high standards one can expect in such a house. I hope management puts some effort into training.

“Exquisite”

Went here for a Wagyu beef, California roll and vegetable tempura dinner course. This was by far the best food we have had in Japan so far and the service was faultless. Phenomenal experience.
