“One of Hiroshima’s hidden gems WOW”
My wife and I throughly enjoyed our experience here , it was far more than just a meal. The staff are extremely attentive and courteous, making sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed . If you wondered why they were checking if we are comfortable it’s because the whole small rest...aurant is actually around 20 seats , set around a cooking station and it gets very very hot in there . Watching the chefs prepare the food for everyone and working as a team was a great show , the food tastes amazing also. This seems to be a hidden gem, mostly full of locals , only those in the know. Highly recommended and a great price also

“Believe the hype”
Believe the hype but is it worth the 3 hour wait after queueing up from 440pm on a Sunday night? Almost, I think. We had heard about this place from reviews and a TV show in Australia and it had us salivating. It’s a very small restaurant with about seating for 20 and the food is cooked teppanya...ki style in front of you. Even though we waited so long, I thought the end product was extremely delicious and very inexpensive (around A$11.50 per meal). I know it’s a local institution and would definitely line up again if I had 3 spare hours.

“The Original Okonomiyaki”
Apparently this is the one to go to if you ask anyone from Hiroshima, the queue in front supports the claim. We went in curious and ready to discover this local delicacy. First recommendation for those who, like us, want to experience this... don’t wear your favorite clothes, you’ll walk out smellin...g like a fry up. The okonomiyaki is prepared in front of you on a teppanyaki, it’s hot as hell in there and explained why clients who finishing theirs were red faced as they walked out (us as well as were getting out). It’s a greasy, (too?) sweet and salty affair consisting of soba or udon noodles on a tortilla like crepe, with sprouts, pork, egg. It’s placed in front of you on the hot teppanyaki, and you cut into it with a small scrape. We finished the whole thing but not without a mild sensation of self disgust. We’re happy to not die stupid and to have experienced it but we won’t have another. Apparently next door is a room without the heat and grease where people can enjoy (?) it seated.

“Tasty Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki and fresh seafood”
Visited due to its fame as one of the best okonomiyaki in Hiroshima and was glad that I did. Arrived at around 7pm on a Wednesday and had to queue for about an hour before we got seated even though the queue didn't look that long. Got a portion of okonomiyaki and a portion of mixed grilled seafood t...o share with my wife and left feeling thoroughly full. The grilled seafood portion wasn't huge but all the seafood used were really fresh. Definitely recommended.
