“So Fresh it may slap you back.”
It’s my birthday today, and we just happened to be in Okayama. What should we do? After calling several other popular restaurants, only to be told, sorry; it’s a Saturday night and we’re booked, we rolled the dice on Gyorohachi. Boy o boy! We were not disappointed. The seafood was so fresh and delic...ious. The place was packed with locals, but we were treated like treasured regulars. We dug deep into their menu knowing that we would not have an opportunity to experience thse dishes back home in the states. The only downside was an absence of English language menus. Definitely a plus if your wife is born and raised in Japan.

“Delicious food!”
Very much enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant. The food was fresh and appealing and tasted great. Service was prompt and friendly. Would recommend.

“Great local cuisine”
We asked for the house speciality and we had small servings of the spicy beef, chicken wings and fish head. Plus a small selection of fresh sashimi. I recommend this restaurant for it's quality food and very helpful manager Mr Koyama.

“Dinner in Okayama, walking distance from hotel at the station”
What a great place! We found it on trip advisor and we can confirm all the good reviews. We had a fantastic dinner and enjoyed the delicious food. We started with sashimi, followed by a fish salad and a tempura to share. Finally we had some macerel and some shells. Everything we had was delicious an...d we just ordered by recommendation because there is still no english menue. Thanks for the nice evening guys!
