The receptionist at our hotel recommended this sushi place which was on a side street a couple blocks from the train station. It was unpresuming, friendly and a bit old-school. The two sushi chefs stood in the middle of the circular counter and made sushi for the conveyor belt as well as filled or...ders. At first we struggled to figure out how to order until a very patient attendant showed us the paper slips that we were to use to write the corresponding number from the menu and then hold slip out for the sushi chef to take with a responsive hai. I thought the best was their seared salmon with sweet onions – and I had three plates of it for a total of 6 nigiris. I also enjoyed their crisp shrimp rolls. The three of us had miso soup, draft beer and as much sushi as we could eat and all for less than $60 total. Each sushi or serving came on a different colored or patterned plate designating the cost which at the end our attendant added up to arrive at our total bill.
