“Delightful little seafood bistro.”
This is a little glass box on the banks of the river. I think for dinner they have tables outside, too. It's pretty compact inside, but they do have air conditioning (a plus in the hot summer months). I just happened to walk past and saw the sign, and am really glad I popped in for lunch. Of cou...rse I had oysters--a trio of fried ones. They were delicious, with a light but not greasy batter. The first bite was searing hot from the fryer, but nonetheless crispy, creamy and fantastic. I also had a bowl of spicy seafood consommé. (I think this plus the oysters was a lunch special.) The soup was filled with a lot of seafood--oysters, plus a big portion of fish. This was an awesome lunch, and one of the best meals I had in Hiroshima.

“Oysters and Other Great Food in Hiroshima”
We had one of the most enjoyable meals of our three-week trip to Japan at the Lemon & Oyster Garden in Hiroshima. Located in a beautiful riverside setting, the intimate restaurant is airy and comfortable. The chef owner cooks meals to order which are served by a friendly staff. While oysters are a s...pecialty, there is a diverse menu that will also appeal to non-oyster eaters. As to the oysters, they were sublime. We had a feast of oysters. We began with raw oysters; next up were oysters sauteed in lemon, butter and garlic; we finished off with fried oysters that we will long remember. Don't miss this spot when you visit Hiroshima.
