Great atmosphere, good food. A great all round fun experience. Chef gave good explanations and took photos.

Food: we had the Hiroshima and US steak. Both excellent. Same for salad, grilled cheese and garlic bread. French fries also great. Dessert quite average though (we shared profiteroles); so stay with the mains and appetizers Service: very friendly and personal. the Hiroshima beef steak with grilled vegetables was grilled to perfection. Friendly staff and great food. Wish we had time for another dinner here.

Around the latter part of last October when we visited Japan from the United States, we visited Hiroshima at a request from my traveling companion, also even I’m Japanese (born & raised), I’ve never visited Hiroshima yet, so although it was a Tight Schedule, we stayed overnight at Hotel Sunroute Hir...oshima. After arriving at the Hiroshima station via Shin-Osaka from Shin-Yokohama using Shinkansen, we sent the baggage to the hotel (great service, by the way) from the station, then we visited Miyajima/Itsukushima Shrine. As we had a dinner there with Okonomiyaki, after arriving at the hotel at night, we were bit hungry… So, we asked the bartender at the hotel if there was any quick bite place nearby, and he recommended two places… and we decided to go ALONG the RIVER… which turned out we made an AWESOME decision! That’s how we found this small cute bistro-type restaurant TRES… We ordered Baked Potato Salad and shared it, and It was SCRUMPTIOUS !!! 😋

The ambiance, staff and good are amazing! 🙂 The restaurant has a vintage look and feel. And you can see the food being prepared!
