“A wonderful surprise”
We wandered around the streets of Miyajima trying to get away from the crowds and found Le Clos. The food is stunning and the staff so friendly. It was one of our best eating experiences while travelling around Japan.

“A perfect place to dine on Miyajima Island”
A wonderful Japanese-French restaurant on Miyajima Island, not far from the ferry terminal. Thrilled to have stumbled onto this beautiful spot while walking on the street lined with old merchant houses. Had a delicious meal and afterward spoke to the chef, who trained in France. Wish I had known abo...ut this place--would have dined there two nights in a row, given the dearth of elegant dinner spots on Miyajima. Thank you! Do mo arigato gozaimasu!

“don’t trust this restaurant”
restaurant was closed while it said it was open. I strolled through the e tore town with my family only to find it closed. worthless

“Amazing dinner!”
My husband has a seafood allergy, so I was looking for a non-seafood restaurant and stumbled upon Les Clos. I e-mailed in advance, telling them about it and they assured me it will be fine, although they only serve a course dinner at Y6,000. The entrane to the place is really nice, see picture, and... once you enter, there is a beautiful little garden there. The restaurant itself is bigger than I thought it would be, and if you get a table by the window, you can see another beautifully manicured courtyard. We were the only guests (wow!), so our evening started very promising! Once we had ordered drinks, the first course, an appetizer arrived. Wow! Second, there was a small soup, followed by Spaghetti Bolognese, a fish course, a meat course AND desert! That all for Y6,000 is a steal, I think. Every single plate was beautifully presented and cooked, a feast not only for the eyes! Very full, but very happy, we concluded our dinner after about 2 hours. Thanks again for opening the restaurant just for us, it was a truly special evening! Highly recommended!!

“Quick lunch but very good quality !”
We were looking for a quick lunch after the shrine visit and by coincidence bumped into here. Quite stylish atmosphere, beautiful garden and very good Quality lunch. Only locals ! Quite and peacefull away from the toerist street. Highly recommanded !
