“Nice stop for coffee and ice cream”
Stopped here for coffee and ice cream between wandering grounds of castle and visiting Korakuen gardens. The Black Saffron ice cream was different but nice my husbands chocolate one was really rich. Nice to sit looking over towards the castle and onto the river. We were there on a Tuesday morning s...o was quite quiet can imagine the area being very busy at weekends.

“Restaurant with a view”
The restaurant is conveniently located between okayama castle and the korakuen. While dining at the restaurant, one is presented with a great view of the Okayama castle and the Asahi River. The food was good as well and the children loved the pasta. There is a fried mochi dish here which was really ...good.

“nice view”
Nice stop to have a beer, and Hekisuien serves a good local DOPPO from a micro-brewery. It is nice to sit here at look over the river and the swan-pedaling boats, that try to get upstream. They serve different dishes as well, and I had noodlesoup with beefmeat. The point was the beer and the view al...so to the castle

“Beautiful view and delicious meals”
We went there for lunch before we entered the Okayama Korakuen. It was at the side entrance of Korakuen after crossing the bridge from Okayama Castle. The small restaurant offered nice view of the bridge over Asahi River and the Okayama Castle on the opposite riverbank. We ordered two meal sets and ...both were delicious. It would be the best place to enjoy lunch if you visit Korakuen.

“Cafe Restaurant in Okayama Gardens”
Lovely setting overlooking the water. From inside the cafe there is a view of the castle above. The food selection is limited but very tasty & reasonably priced.
