“Delicious food, quick and inexpensive”
My husband and I were in town for the Peace Ceremony - the annual event honoring the lives lost in the atomic bomb drop. We hadn't yet had an authentic Japanese noodle bowl and many of the independent restaurants were packed. Tired from walking around looking for seating, we happened upon this rest...aurant. If the steady stream of locals walking inside was any indication, it must be decent, we figured. It was! Basically, you walk in and cafeteria-style, choose from various options including broth, noodle, protein, add-ins like vegetables, eggs, and spices. You also can order sides like seaweed salad, tempura vegetables and the like. Both my husband and I ordered a medium size noodle bowl; he had beef and I had pork. The medium size was more than ample. I couldn't finish my bowl, so in hindsight, I would probably go for a small portion instead. The large was absolutely humongous - I don't know how anyone could finish it! Bottom line: it was quick, affordable and quite delicious. The restaurant was clean and the staff helpful, considering there was a large language gap. I would definitely recommend eating here.
