Wandering around Hiroshima backstreets near our hotel, found NewYorkNewYork. Looked at menu (both western and Japanese), drinks menu and prices. Decided to go in. Nice place (just watch the killer steps up into the bar and .dining room!) with very attractive and attentive staff, pleasant surrounds, ...a cross between industrial and garden. Lots of menu choices all reasonably priced and professionally served in good time. Went back again on our last night. Recommended if you’re in this part of the City.

Be aware western customers! Food and service was good, but unfortunately a mysterious 10% tax was charged. To be clear - the menu states 10% service charge after 10pm which is fair enough, but although i paid before 10pm, another 10% were charged. When I complained, I was told that this was a "ser...vice or sales tax", nothing of that was stated anywhere and it is the first time in Japan I experienced such a tax. They even explained that after 10pm 2x 10% were applicable (service charge AND mysterious tax). Be aware and find another spot. Sorry to say, but I have the feeling something was odd here. Happy to learn otherwise but I have the feeling that I got scammed the first time in Japan.

Stopped for a few beers - did all you can drink - 2 hours £10! What’s not to love! Perfect relaxed spot - went to pay bill - was told. Still had 10 mins on deal! So forced to have another!!! Perfect!!! Top service! Top drinks!

The pizza is awful, and 2 of us were finished eating when the two others finally got their pizza. ----------------------------------------------------

This burger was not New York quality, and they even got my order wrong! After waiting 30 mins the burger was not up to par.
