“"Kakushi Zushi" (Hidden Lunch Box) Has an Interesting History”
Dinner with my wife, younger son, and extended family. I had an interesting lunch box, "Kakushi Zushi," hidden lunch box. This was devised during the time of sumptuary law in the Edo era. When you open the box, you see only "Kinshi Egg" (thin omelet cut into strips) on top of the rice. However, when... you open the box after closing the lid and then turning it over, you have a variety of luxurious seafood on top of the rice. "Wisdom" of Edo era people.

“Very good food (when available)”
This place offered a table for 5 when the adjacent Chunking Chinese Szechwan restaurant was fully booked again. Authentic Japanese, with an English menu, but no other compromises. Limited offering a la carte. Quality ingredients served was very good but too many dishes were “sold out”.
