Beautiful food and perfect service- all with a gorgeous view over Tokyo. What a lovely dinner! The first course was a beautiful plate of amuse bouches. Probably the best fish we ever had. So many inventive and delicious dishes beautifully plated and served with information about the ingredients and ...preparation. Gorgeous breads with French butter- what a treat. Wines paired wonderfully well with the courses. At sunset in May the bar next door where we went for a pre dinner drink - not part of the restaurant- had almost all the blinds drawn- understandable due to the blinding sunlight- but we might have tried the first floor lounge instead. The maitre’d knew we were there early and rescued us (without us asking) by providing our very nice view table a bit early.

The ambiance was amazing! Even if our table was not next to the window, it still had an amazing view of the Tokyo Tower. The service was absolutely excellent and the food and champagne were amazing!

We had a trip to Tokyo and celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at Pierre Gagnaire. My wife said that the dinner brought back her memories as a bride on the exact same day ten years ago as we were so well taken care of, if not spoilt, by the professional team of chefs and servers. Food was caref...ully chosen from worldwide and cooked with creativity and sophistication. My wife was also surprised by the three dessert courses. Apart from the food and ambience/view, we were most impressed by the personal touch. We were warmly welcomed by the manager upon arrival. I had a headache last night so didn't order wine; the manager recommended some non-alcoholic drink which was also good for toasting. The bag for carrying the flower bouquet also came in handy for me. Above all, my wife was overjoyed to meet the chef. She would also like to thank the lady server who was cheerful, sincere and attentive. Their anniversary package is a real 'lifesaver' for me and would be highly recommended. Many thanks to the manager for all the thoughtful and romantic arrangements. I don't often write reviews but we thoroughly enjoyed the dinner which definitely left us very fond memories of this special occasion.

Overall its a safe choice for fine dining business meal as you will get a base line good dining experience. But must say the menus are veering toward uninspiring these days.
