Japanese BBQ was a great experience. We did the set menu which had over 10 courses with some of the best cuts of beef possible.

We had a super good time having dinner there. The staff control the time in a perfect way, not too fast or slow. Grill every dish for us and even made a beef sandwich 🤤 The desserts were very good too just the portions were huge. Highly recommend to meat lovers

1. My best friend and I walked all the way to the restaurant to be turned down (we didn’t know about the reservations and high traffic) so we asked if we could make one and the server gave us 10:05pm which is less than an hour before close. We agreed and came back the next night to enjoy yakiniku. ... 2. Once we arrived the next night they were a but surprised that we showed up at all, even though we were on time. Our server (Hagumi or Hakumi) insisted we get course meals but my friend and I were more interested in the items that were a la carte. He also told us vague instructions or none about each meat dish and never helped us grill. All of the other tables were getting assistance at first, then cooked it themselves after the instruction. 3. While we were in the middle of placing an order he left the table and came back with the one item we actually go to ask him for and a “welcome snack”. Then we finished placing our order and assumed because of the name “welcome snack” that it was on the house. This increased our bill ¥1000, even though we didn’t order it. It honestly wasn’t worth it money and was very small. 4. One good about this restaurant was that the food was delicious and the meat was high quality. 5. The menu doesn’t indicate how many pieces you get per order (ex. We ordered one beef tongue plate which was ¥2400 and only came with 4 pieces). 6. In the middle of our dinner we were asked to order our last plates because it was last call. Our server would walk in and out of our area but didn’t always ask us if need anything even though we would try to catch his attention. The servers move very quickly throughout the restaurant. 7. When we finally flagged down a server to get the check our price was a lot higher than expected due to the “welcome snack” and other taxes that couldn’t be explained to us. All we got in return was “sorry” and confused looks. 8. The cherry on the top was our original server (Hagumi or Hakumi) trying to peak over as we signed our checks and asked if the gum on the table was for us and if it was for free. The reviews were misleading, yes the food is good but the service is absolutely terrible. The 2020 olympics starts very soon and I worry this restaurant isn’t going to help make visitors welcome to Japan. If you’re looking for high end service, I wouldn’t go here.

Ever since I had my first initial baptism at Tokyo’s Yakiniku Jumbo Shirokane years ago, I was instantly converted into an addict for fine quality Japanese Yakiniku! The smoky, melt-in-the-mouth, caramelized Wagyu beef combined with super-delicious dipping sauces made every bite a heavenly culinary ...venture! As such, the meal at tonight’s ‘Yoroniku’ is amongst one of the most anticipated meal of my trip…..and it did not disappoint! After walking for hours at the Digital Interactive Art Museum during the first half of a ‘ finally sunny ‘ day, I have accumulated enough reserve to allow me to indulge on some high calorific, artery clogging, marbled Japanese Beef. In order to feast and make comparison on a whole spectrum of different cuts of beef, I opted for the Omakase which featured the sampling of 9 different cuts, from flavorful and chewy cuts around the Blade and Hind areas to the more lavish, tender and melt-in-the-mouth Chateaubriand and Rib Eye cuts. A friendly lady server did our cooking and also provided us with instructions as to how to proceed with our tasting……eating the prepared meat as-is or with the correct choice of dipping sauces provided. The whole experience was fun and most enjoyable. We topped off our meal by sharing a ‘ small size ‘ Japanese shaved ice dessert – Kakigori. If this foot tall beast is a small size, I hate to imagine what a large one is like?! A last word pertaining to the delicious Kimchee condiments of the ‘Banchan’ offered. Unlike the usually spicier and more tangy, Korean version, the subtle sweetness and milder Japanese preparation was much more delightful and agreeable to my palate. If it wasn’t for the extra-sensitive olfactory capability of our Canadian custom’s dogs, I would have packed a whole bunch in my luggage! Another great meal strike off the list. Another day closer to returning home! Sigh!!

Used to be an enjoyable experience at this restaurant but not anymore. Service was cold and unfriendly. In fact it was rather bad by Japanese standards. The meat certainly did not wow us this time. Not worth returning again.
