“Lucked into the perfect little lunch spot.”
We stumbled our way into this super busy crowded little area after sight seeing and meandering for hours through the Tokyo Neighbourhoods. We were well past the time we should have already had lunch and we were parched. The streets were a confusing jungle of signs, people and restaurants and nothing... was really jumping out at us, as hungry as we were. This cool little restaurant appeared on the Trip Advisor map first and then came into focus as we rounded the narrow street like a mirage in the desert. After walking 6 or 7 km, with my wife, under a blazing sun and 40+ degree hot humid heat, we just needed a basic soup and sandwich like we might find back home in Canada. Something comforting and nourishing. This place was made to order; the perfect choice. Surprisingly good quality, friendly service and reasonable cost. Wife and I had exactly the same thing: tuna salad sandwich and a small bowl of minestrone soup. The sandwich was presented with a good quality bread, a generous serving of tuna salad, and nicely garnished with lettuce and tomato, the plate arrived with a bit of slaw and a handful of crunchy potato chips to make it interesting. The minestrone soup was home made and delicious. It was cozy and quiet spot and it offered us a bit of a reprieve from the busy streets. A nice break and freshly recharged, we were able to muster the energy for the trek back to the hotel. This is a great place.

“Heaven dessert ”
We had here the most fantastic fluffy pancake ever.. It's a kind of pyramid of amazing pastry with maple syrup and some chocolate and a sliced banana plus whipped cream.. To try absolutely..

“Lovely little cafe with vegetarian sandwiches”
This cafe is a quiet escape from the chaos of Takeashita Dori. It's just behind the Main Street and serves healthy, fresh sandwiches. They have a vegetable sandwich that is vegan and the serving size is large (which us vegetarians love!) Menu is both Japanese and English.

“Convenient and peceful”
We found this after wandering off the busy Takeshita Dori. There were plenty of options for a light lunch with tasty sandwiches on offer, including for vegetarians. It is good value for money and certainly worth seeking out to take a break from the crowds.
