We clearly "did" this stop incorrectly, but after a super long day at the office, neither of us were in the mood for anything more than a quick stop for sustenance and maybe a beer. Or three. Who's counting? We opted for the quick-service, grab-and-go sushi options, which came with its own challeng...e - namely, the lack of "assigned" seating. We paid for our food and drinks, then headed back out into the main dining area to try to find a spot to post up to eat. There weren't any tables with chairs or stools open, so we balanced everything on a tiny bar-top. It definitely was a showcase in dexterity and perseverance! The sushi box that I'd picked had a variety of hand rolls, ranging from Ebi to Tamago to Saba, and other fish in between. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and held up quite well from platter to my face. I will admit to being a bit bummed that this was my first sushi meal in Tokyo, but again, tired as we were, this was the best we were going to get. My boss ended up with a hot rice/meat/sauteed onions dish that she inhaled - in a lady-like manner - and declared delightful. We did eventually snag a couple of chairs at a table behind us, which allowed us to sit and enjoy our adult beverages before heading back to our rooms.

Located within the Atre on the 4th floor of the Shinagawa station, it’s among a clutch of varied restaurants. It is an izakaya or Japanese pub which lights up,in the evening but is also available for a good lunch. It has rows of either a counter or small couple cubicles with a solitary window table.... It served an array of drinks, we had the warm sake, along with sliced duck served with karashi mustard. Assorted shrimp avocado salad, and an omlettete type sliced egg dish. All eaten with varieties if sauces. Prompt service but a tad expensive.

Located in the Atre Department which a kind of food court, The Zen is nicely located. Here you can easily experience Japanese dishes, which are excellent prepared. The staff is attentive and very friendly.

This place is clearly the place for married man to take their girlfriends or paid consorts. Even if you thinking of using this facility for that purpose, whatever, else you do, don't order food. Just have a drink. The shabu shabu I tried was fat, with some red coloured flesh attached to it, cooked i...n a sad little pot. By far not worth the 100 USD. BUT at least you don't get cheated because you are a foreigner, everybody gets equally cheated out of their money, foreign or local.

Had a quick lunch here. Located at the Shingawa train station. One dish was cold noodles. It was good. Served cold. The other was grilled fish with rice, miso soup, pickles, porridge, sweets and of course tea. The porridge was really bad. Fish was good. All for 2770 yen, about $23.00 Not bad. There ...are many other places in the station that are much better.
