“nice meal”
The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was immediately drawn to the sleek, all-black private rooms. This wagyu yakiniku restaurant truly values personal space, and once you settle into your booth, you feel comfortably disconnected from the outside world. The marbling on the wagyu was stunning—d...elicate like snowflakes, evenly distributed, and glossy. Even lifting the raw slices felt exciting; the color alone raised my expectations. I started with the simple salt-grilled cut, and just ten seconds on each side was enough for the fat to melt instantly, turning buttery-soft. The moment it touched my tongue, the aroma burst open and the meat practically dissolved without chewing. That “melts in your mouth, not on the grill” feeling is exactly why wagyu lovers get addicted. It was honestly incredibly delicious. The only drawback is that the private rooms are not non-smoking. I’m quite sensitive to cigarette smell, and I could clearly catch smoke drifting in from neighboring rooms. So if you're sensitive to smoke like I am, you may want to keep this in mind.

“Kagoshima Wagyu was incredible!”
I recently went to Ushi no Tatsujin Private in Nishi-Shinjuku and got the Takumi course - honestly, it was amazing. The Kagoshima Wagyu was incredible, literally melts in your mouth. Something I really liked was that they showed each cut of meat with its name and a little diagram of where it comes f...rom on the cow. Super helpful, especially if you don't read Japanese or aren't sure about different beef cuts. The best part was definitely the Kagoshima Kuroge Wagyu Yaki-Suki. The meat was so tender but still had a nice bite to it - not mushy at all. And the seasoning? Perfect. Every piece just tasted amazing. The marbling was really consistent too - no overly fatty or too lean pieces. You can tell they're really careful about picking their beef. Anyway, it was a great meal and I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for quality wagyu in Shinjuku!

“Yakiniku Delight at Gyū no Tatsujin – Shinjuku”
Gyū no Tatsujin in Shinjuku offers fully private rooms, creating a calm, comfortable space where you can enjoy yakiniku without worrying about leaving with a BBQ smell on your clothes. The meal began with a beautiful seafood and raw beef appetizer—light, delicate, and the perfect way to ease into t...he course. Then came the highlight: the yakiniku. Every cut was evenly marbled, sliced to the ideal thickness, and incredibly tender and juicy. Paired with simple rock salt, each bite felt genuinely blissful, letting the natural flavors of the meat shine. The portion size was just right—satisfying without being too heavy—making it a great choice for a girls’ night out where you want to indulge but still feel comfortable afterward. A lovely, balanced dining experience that brings together flavor, atmosphere, and comfort in the best way. とてもおいしかった。ジャパンワギュウさいこうでした❤︎ ぜひ、おすすめ! また、行きます✨ ほかのみせもおすすめです♪牛の達人

“A delicious yakiniku restaurant in Ginza”
I’ve tried several branches of this restaurant chain, and this one—located right next to Shinjuku Station—is also very easy to get to. I ordered the TAKUMI course, which includes nine dishes. Although the menu is somewhat similar to those at other branches, the presentation here feels a bit more re...fined. The highlights of the course, in my opinion, were the “Premium Wagyu Beef Platter” and the “Premium Wagyu Yakisuki with eggyolk&sauce” Among the rare cuts, the misuji (top blade) stood out the most—the marbling was beautifully distributed, and the texture was incredibly tender and flavorful. The other cuts of meat were also solidly above average, making the course consistently enjoyable from start to finish. The all-you-can-drink option offers plenty of variety as well. In addition to the expected Japanese beer, there’s also whisky, cocktails, shochu, wine, and more. Enjoying these drinks with the meat makes for a truly delightful dinner experience.

“Good price”
I visited a yakiniku restaurant in Shinjuku last night and it was better than I expected. The restaurant is small but the atmosphere is warm, and I relaxed as soon as I sat down. I tried both white wine and red wine; they were easy to drink and went well with the meat. For the first dish, they serve...d a small stack of wagyu beef under clear jelly, with fresh uni and a little caviar on top. It looked beautiful and tasted rich but still light, so it really opened my appetite. The beef after that had even fat and tasted fresh, and every slice cooked well on the grill. At first I thought about ordering rice, but in the middle of the meal I was already very full, so I was glad I didn’t. My favorite part was the yakiniku with sukiyaki-style egg yolk sauce. You grill the meat, dip it in the egg, and the flavor becomes rich and addictive. For this quality and mood, the price feels fair.
