ロックポット

This is the cutest little restaurant. The interior is colorful and fun. The music playing is in English and is fab background rock 'n roll - Clapton, Berry, etc. The menu has enough English and pictures to make selection painless, and there are multiple pasta dishes for a fallback choice - the garli...c bread is delicious. They don't really serve homestyle Japanese, no udon or don buri, and my selection of breaded and fried pork cutlet came with a side of mashed potatoes (very odd) instead of rice. The menu is varied, and adventurous eaters will likely be rewarded as both my meals here have been very tasty. It's a nice, relaxing dinner stop in a quiet neighborhood on the outskirts of Tokyo, well North of Shinjuku.
