The Edo plater was very good and balanced and the sevies was great also 5 stars. The drinks were good highly recommend the Calais.

There was an o bon dance that popped up almost as soon as we ordered. Sushi was incredible and the miso soup was the best I've had this trip

This is fun. Very touristy but done with a great attitude and energy and a lightness of touch that doedsn't take itself too seriously. I mean we danced a traditional Bob Odori dance to YMCA and Bon Jovi, so it is all tongue in cheek. The food is billed as Edo style and is very tasty. The service was... fast and cheerful. Fun with friends.

The food itself is good, and the “poor” is for the service. My husband and I had planned a special dinner for our parents because it was their first time in Tokyo, and we made a reservation for four at 9 o'clock on Tabelog. Upon arrival, the host informed us that there was an issue with our reserva...tion and asked us to wait while we could order drinks. Also the detailed of our pre-orders had some changes. While this was an inconvenience, it was not the main issue. It had build on to be a poor experience: 1. Each table was supposed to have a set of condiments, including small soy sauce pots. However, as soon as my family and I began to enjoy our first round of sashimi, the host took away our soy sauce pot. We were left with no soy sauce at our table while all other tables are normally equipped, which was odd. My mother, who prefers strong flavors, had to ask the waiter for the soy sauce pot back, only for it to be taken away again by the host, twice. We observed him making faces and pouring the soy sauce back out, which seemed not only strange but also discriminatory towards foreign guests. This behavior was ugly and disrespectful. 2. Our set meals included sushi, but there was no option for cooked items, which was a concern for my father who cannot eat too much raw fish. We decided to order udon noodles and a few additional sushi pieces to ensure everyone would be full. When the sushi was served, each piece was enormous, which was unusual and impractical, different than any ones we’ve had before. We were unable to finish the meal. When it came time to pay, the host laughed loudly, amused that we did not finish our food. I would have understood if we had not been aware of the portion sizes from online reviews, but I was upset that the host did not inform us about the large size of the sushi when we inquired and ordered face to face, considering we’ve already had our set meals, and that we were not allowed to take leftovers home. This was not only very impolite but also wasteful. We had high expectations for our dining experience at this restaurant, and we are deeply disappointed by the lack of grace and respect shown to us..
