“Excellent dining option in Mito”
Excellent low key restaurant that offers an authentic Japanese dining experience e.g. no shoes inside. Four person tables in self contained cubicles. Wide range of Japanese foods, principally meat based. Menu has English translation but minimal English spoken by staff, but they try hard to accomm...odate. Food was high quality and swiftly presented. No sense of being rushed. Very good value: starter, salad, wagyu steak, dessert plus beer and shochu was Yen 5700 i. e. approximately £35. Highly recommended.

“Good food but none of the staff speaks English”
Famous Hitachi Beef and Angler Fish lived up to their names in this restaurant. Food was delicious but none of the staff spoke any English. We asked for separate bills but turned out they gave us two beer... From the menu we got to know of some places of interest near Mito! I would recommend that's ...restaurant but go with some knowledge of Japanese language.
