My daughter and I traveled from Hawaii to Japan and was looking forward to eating an authentic Kaiseki Dinner. Since we were staying at the Yokohama Royal Park Hotel, the Japanese restaurant Shikitei on the 68th floor in the hotel was a perfect location since it also featured a stunning view of the... waterfront. My daughter and I arrived at the restaurant at 5:30 PM as their earliest dinner reservation. We wanted to enjoyed the food and sunset during our dining experience even though sunset was about 7:00 PM. We definitely enjoyed both the food and sunset. We were quickly seated at a nice window table and our order was taken for drinks, which my daughter had Oolong Tea and I had their Sauvignon Blanc Juice (white grape juice) and their Hisui drink (Macha flavor non-alcoholic drink). The Hisui was a beautiful jade color Macha drink topped with edible gold flakes. Beautiful and full flavored. Our server confirmed that we ordered the Minato Kaiseki and that we had a choice of the Japanese Beef Sirloin or the Sukiyaki Hot Pot. We picked this specific Kaiseki beforehand because we wanted the Japanese Beef Sirloin (Wagyu). Our dinner started with the first dish which was Mozuku Seaweed, Shrimp, Yam, and Cucumber. That was a terrific refreshing combination of ingredients to get us started. Next was the Egg Tofu, Steamed fish and Shrimp soup. It was nicely presented, tasteful, and the steamed fish was perfect. We were then served a nice plate of assorted sashimi. Nicely presented and flavorful. Soba noodles with mushrooms were next and that had a rich unique flavor. A grilled fish with miso paste was nicely presented and the grilled fish was terrific! Both my daughter and I agreed as we ate it. A subtle dish of eggplant, herring, and Bean refreshed our palate. Then the Japanese Beef Sirloin was beautifully served and the beef was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and as tender as should be expected. We then had nigiri sushi and miso soup to finish up the main courses. We ended with another beautifully presented dish of watermelon, mango, and cherry. Overall, the Kaiseki dinner was terrific! The combination of ingredients and flavors were perfect! But what made the individual dishes stand out was the sequences of the dishes. It was well thought out in the order that they were served! We prebooked the window seat online and had their lunch set. The views was great and food was delicious. This place was also easy to find since it is located inside Royal Plaza Hotel.

Spectacular view of the Harbour and the Yokohama Bay at night! Very prompt and professional service. We had the Autumn menu in a private dinning area. All the courses were subtle but delicious in taste. Given it was an Autumn menu, the focus was on fresh vegetables, flowers and the fruits from the s...eason. Great selection of Sake. Very nicely done!

Always visit Yokohoma have dining at this hotel , at 68 floor dining with very nice view of Yokohama Port and city , best Omakase , all served on the best raw material and cook very well.

On top of Yokohama, that is on the 68th floor of Landmark Tower, accessed via the Royal Park Hotel, you will find Shikitei, a gem of a Japanese restaurant. The view of the city is grand and the Japanese traditional cuisine--kaiseki--is exquisite. Yesterday's visit is my fifth: always at lunchtime, s...ince the price fits my budget at slightly more than 5000 yen. This time, March 27, was a few days before the full cherry blossom flowering, but that, too. was brought to our table in the form of delicacy served as flower arrangements celebrating spring. The seven-course lunch was such a delight, the best in my 70 plus years of my life. My cousin, sister and I all agreed that this visit will be remembered for the rest of our lives. Hats off to the chef and to all the kimono-clad ladies who served us. Spring has arrived!
