新宿 葡庵

This is a lovely little restaurant on the east side of Shinjuku labeled as ヨーロッパ料理店 European food so I guess it's a little bit of french and Italian. I came for lunch. and ordered beef cheeks for ¥2000 and the set was lovely! It came with a small appetizer of salad, slice of quiche, slice of chicke...n, and some carrot rappe. The starter was very nice and the beef cheeks were also served with a small portion of roast vegetables on the side. The beef cheeks were super tender (cooked to perfection), and the sauce was smooth and rich. It can be served with bread or rice and I chose bread. Although the food was well presented and the taste of everything very good, my only negative comment would be that the portion was a little small (maybe I should have opted for the rice). I would love to try this place for dinner in the future! I would have rated it 4.5 stars if that was an option on Trip Advisor The staff were friendly and attentive and they seem to have a good amount of local Japanese wine on the menu which is good. Looking forward to coming back!
