“Family unfriendly”
This restaurant is located at the Hotel Square, just next to the Anpanman Museum, that we went to visit with our 2 years old baby. This is a very famous character for kids entertainment and many other families with kids were at the hotel those days. As the weather was cold and windy one of the day...s, we decided to have dinner at the restaurant of the hotel, which looked nice. It was also the place where breakfast was served to the hotel guests and, when our breakfast finished, we asked to book a table for dinner. However, to our great surprise, the request was refused: the restaurant doesn’t accept 2 years old babies at dinner time! Thus, even though we were in a hotel with a nice looking restaurant, we had to go out in the cold, with a 2 years old baby, to have dinner somewhere else. The next day we were leaving and we had a plane to catch. We went to the same restaurant, as usual, as we booked the room with breakfast included. There was a queue and two couples with babies were waiting before us. The first family was sent away, apparently because they didn’t make reservation with breakfast included. Normally it would be possible to pay for the breakfast, but for some reason it was not accepted. They had to leave, with a small baby, with no cafe open in the surroundings. The same happened to the second family: they were informed that there was only place for 2 persons and they had to come 30 minutes later, because they were 3 (including the baby). They also left. Then it was our turn and we got the same information. However, we explained that we had a flight and we couldn’t wait for 30 minutes. Even with only 2 seats, we wanted to take breakfast. Finally we could enter and, to our great surprise, almost half of the restaurant was empty. We had 6 empty places for the 3 of us. Many tables were empty and several families with babies were sent away from the restaurant. Then we could understand the reason: there was not enough staff and the few workers available were struggling to keep the room clean and the service moving. Meanwhile, the manager was giving wrong informations to the clients and sending families with babies away. All this was horrible to see. Never again
