“Nondescript house like building,”
Cantonese style Chinese. These folks have a couple of other restaurants in Kobe. The price point is comparable to those restaurants however the location of this restaurant is vastly inferior. Located beside the JR train line however a good distance from the actual JR Nishinomiya station, with no ...view to speak of, you are not coming for the view or ambiance. That being said, you do get a decent Cantonese style Chinese food. A few highlights: their vegetable medley in a wonton dish was very good, as was their crispy noodles. I would skip their shark fin soup, it was over salted. We are making the rounds of various Chinese restaurants in the neighborhood and we would consider coming back to this place again. They have three parking spots underneath the restaurant.

Gaen is a restaurant that is an hidden gem. There is limited parking, and the dining space is small. But that takes a back seat to the FOOD. This is fine chinese dining. The fare is well crafted in its simplicity, and the flavors explode in your mouth. The Jasmine Tea makes a great accompaniment to ...the dining.
