Best meat (and meal) ive had in japan!!!! The staff was super nice, the server gave the kids lollipops at the end of the dinner and the chef thanked us for choosing his restaurant. Visited the restaurant both times i was in japan and it was amazing every time! Recommend.

Wagyu beef in Pontocyo! Great spot off the Main Street. Welcoming staff, engaging chef and an outstanding set meal. This was a 5 course set meal including app, salad 100grams of Wagyu beef cooked fire us at the bar, rice, miso soup and coffee + mochi dessert. A great value compared to many places ...we looked at! Food was delicious and it was a welcoming vibe/atmosphere. The staff also spoke English. I highly recommend this spot if you are in Kyoto and walking through the Pontocyo area. 😃

Great food. Best steak I've had in Japan. Also loved the tuna salad and the lobster. Very good service and great atmosphere

200 out of 10 🇯🇵✨ excellent service and delicious food, worth every penny and it's actually very well priced for the quality of the food. The chef is super nice and handsome! Try the beef tongue, waygu steak 🥩 and even the red wine from the house is delicious.

Staff were nice and food served quickly as we were early and not many there. Tuna wasabi had hardly a hint of wasabi, beef tongue was ok and the beef , again, was tender but underwhelming. I know Japanese generally need a lesson in pouring beers but in this place it was about $4.50 beer and $2.50 fr...oth. It was OK but wouldn’t rush back.
