“Wonderful experience”
We visited the restaurant for lunch and had prompt service. The wagyu beef, while expensive, was succulent. We had it prepared iwayaki and shabu shabu. The waiter explained how to prepare the shabu shabu meal. An unplanned enjoyable experience!

“Avoid this place”
Just stumbled upon this restaurant after a long day and long walk. My partners food arrived first and some 25 minutes mine arrived by which time he had finished his. His was OK Pork dish - mine was Pork Tonkatsu. My port was greasy and fatty. And to be honest as he had long finished his I didn’t fa...ncy eating much of mine! Serving staff all seemed to be rushing around not achieving much. My glass of wine was small and not very cold. We would not eat here again or recommend it!

“A fantastic Japanese food experience”
Fantastic food, service and vibe. We took our three kids here for dinner and we absolutely loved it. We even went back a second night and took the cousins with us.

“This place is slept on. Amazing food and experience!”
The wagyu set menu Iwayaki style is amazing! The service is attentive and quick. Sit outside for a river view in the evening if you can.

“Beautiful outside dining at the riverside”
We did dine twice at this restaurant during our stay in Kyoto and we did have 2 excellent diners. English menu and everybody was very friendly and helpful. During our stay in Japan we did not have many oportunities to eat outside so we did love the seating at the riverside.
