“Disappointed ”
Not due the food or service but simply as it was closed and Trip Advisor did not mention that. We walked some way to the restaurant purely based on the rating and reviews at 8pm Monday 27th May and it was shut. A local said it only opens at lunch. Very annoying and Trip Advisor or the restaurant sh...ould make sure opening times shown are accurate.

“One of the best yuba”
Little place for yuba lovers. Their set menu are great to have a taste of different kind of tofu dishes. Don't make the mistake of thinking that because it is tofu cuisine it is vegan. There is fish and fish broth in some dishes and even some meat and egg and dairy. You can ask fror some small chang...es but since it is mostly frequented by japanese they don't speak much english. Their tsukuri yuba ( rolled yuba) is to die for!

“Simple bean meal”
Came for the all "yuba" soy/tofu/bean meal. Was impressed by the different types of taste they can come out with all from the same base. From sweet to savoury. Didnt expect myself to be full but was prefft much full after the meal. A simple small restaurant with a only 3 choices of set menu. Attenti...ve staffs that dont speak english. Nonetheless, was a pleasant good meal.

“I still dream of this meal! It is a must. ”
This was our #1 favorite meal in Japan. This place is phenomenal. We did the yuba sampler and enjoyed every single item. We kept ordering yuba at other restaurants after this experience, and they were always terrible disappointments. You must stop in here for lunch. You will not regret it.

“Hidden Gem in Kyoto”
Chanced by here after visiting Kiyomizu-dera. The shop specializes in Tofu(beancurd) and they serve it in different forms in their set menu. We ordered the biggest set and a side as we weren't too hungry to begin with. Service and food is excellent and value for money. Do consider this shop to try ...the Yuba!
