“GREAT CHICKEN!!!!!”
We really enjoyed that atmosphere and love supporting locally owned restaurants. The server was fantastic! We had a chicken lemon dish that was one of the best we had ever tasted. Simply divine. The steak was really good but not great. Apple tart dessert was very delicious. Don't be surprised,... there is a 3,000Y ($2.50 US) seat charge / per person. It's worth it to help support a local business and if you are from America - just think of it as a tip.

“great food and atmosphere”
This restaurant was 5 mins from our hotel and we went there on basis of other trip advisor reviews. It was fully booked on our first visit but we were then able to book a table (rather than stool at counter) for two nights later but only as we were able to eat at 5.30pm and leave by 7.30pm There ar...e a few tables and seats at the counter so probably only around 20 places. Not a huge menu but my wife had the beef and I had the lobster tart with half a bottle of sauvignon blanc (after the quiche Lorraine as a starter). Enjoyed the desserts too. We were the only Europeans in there and liked the French feel and the background music. A very welcome change for us from the local cuisine. Waiter was very good and for the quality of food, it was very reasonably priced. Manager had been prepared to find a way to accommodate us rather than just say sorry.

Very good. Nice people and very good food. Very small but good. Close to Kyoto Station. Good wines by glass. An french bristo with a strong japonese accent.

“Excellent European meal in Kyoto”
I went here with my mum to take a break from Japanese food. The food and service were fantastic. The bread was crunchy and fresh (a nice change from white bread) and the meals were outstanding. The atmosphere was intimate but casual. I definitely recommend a visit to anyone who finds themselves near... Kyoto station.

“Very good restauran with kind people”
We were having dinner in Ikariya Petit and The food was amazing. We ordered beef and a Quiché Lorine and both where fantastic.the owner was really friendly. We strongly recomend visit this place if You are in Kioto.
