Wow! What an amazing dining experience. Totally enjoyed the whole meal from watching the chef cook teppanyaki style to eating the meal. Chef is brilliant, friendly and obviously enjoys his work. Nice local wines complement the meal. It's that good, we're going back tomorrow.

The difference between the display items and what you get is incredible. The display shows side sishes with shrimps and scallops. What you get is tasteless pickles and really bad tasting „something“. This is fraud! A rip off. Just don’t. It was the worst food and experience of our whole trip. The pe...ople running this scam should be ashamed!

This place is convenient if you are in Kyoto station for a train, the staff speak English, they have an English language menu and the food is edible. This was, however, well below the standard of food I have eaten in Japan. While the price wasn't too high, I have had better meals for cheaper in othe...r spots in Kyoto. If you really have a hankering for okonomiyaki I would suggest heading to one of the places in the streets surrounding the station. I also imagine the other restaurants in the station itself do better job (although I can't say that for sure). If all else fails you can genuinely get better okonomiyaki from a Lawson's mini mart. The experience itself was also a bit disappointing. As far as I could make out (with my below par Japanese) we were given a limited menu. In fact their seemed to be three different versions. Limited English, limited Japanese and full Japanese. The fact that we could have picked from a wider range of options only became clear after we had eaten. Finally, we appear to have been overcharged but had to wait so long for our bill that we decided to suck it up and leave rather than making a fuss. Use this place in a pinch but set your expectations nice and low.

Wow what a great Okonomiyaki restaurant this appeared to be. A very pleasant atmosphere, excellent food and drinks and great service. I passed this restaurant already many years but entered this shop during my stay last December and boy was I wrong to pass it all those years. Most of all I really li...ked the atmosphere with just local Japanese guests which always is a very good sight and indication that the food is quite OK. I went there twice and could only conclude that this one will definitely remain high on my list of favourite Kyoto restaurants.

Chose this restaurant purely by chance when looking for a place to eat at dinner time when walking through Kyoto Train Station on the ground floor. The restaurant was very busy which is always a good sign. The restaurant had plastic plates of food displayed in the window so while we waited we could ...choose our meals. The staff were very friendly & could communicate with us in basic English. We were also given an English menu which was helpful when ordering our food. We decided on pork fried noodles and 2 types of Japanese pancakes/pizza - pork & yam. All 3 meals were delicious. Service was great & we were given complimentary gifts as part of New Year celebrations which we did not expect.
