“Traditional Japanese food in contemporary setting”
I don't think I would have found this on my own but fortunately we were taken here by some Japanese friends and it was a delightful experience. The first thing we were told was "you can drink as much as you like" and although I am not a big drinker my partner took this to heart! As he is not a big s...ashimi fan he was able to fill up on beers and sours.For me the meal began with appetizers, followed by sashimi - tuna, salmon, kingfish, prawn and sea urchin. Next up was fish marinated in mirin and soy then grilled and tempura served with matcha salt. More fish - deep fried, and tofu followed. Oh I forgot to mention the salad - a huge bowl - and like most salads in Japan - absolutely delicious. The meal ended with delicate lemon ice - cream. Finally as I didn't pay I can't comment on price or value.
