We stopped for dinner wbich was outstanding. I had the wagu beef and we had the teriyaki yellowtail. Amazing service and food.

We recently spent 4 nights in Tokyo and stumbled across Casual Teppan by chance. Not being familiar with Tokyo we were at first hesitant about eating in a restaurant at a railway station. We are so pleased that we chose to ignore our hesitation. This place is an absolute gem! However nestled between... other restaurants on floor 2f we found Casual Teppan For us it was simply faultless. The staff were warm, engaging and helpful. The restaurant was spotless, comfortable and had a gentle buzz. The food was every bit as good as we had hoped for...no, it was actually better than we had hoped for. They have a compact wine list which would cater for every palate as it did for us. We had a choice of standard table seating or to sit at the counter facing the chef's and their teppan hot plates. We chose to sit at the counter which led to us have an engaging conversation with the Chef Ishii San. What a delightful man he is and what a great spot to sit. As the evening progressed a variety of staff came and engaged with us, each of them incredibly warm and polite. We also had the pleasure of conversation from a delightful lady who we believe to be the owner. Unfortunately we did not get her name however, like the rest of the staff she was delightful. As I said we returned a second time and everything I described above was repeated. However restaurants are primarily about the food. We chose a set menu on night one and it was magnificent. A fantastic range of food cooked to perfection and presented to the highest level. The second night we chose from the a-la-carte and of course our expectations were again surpassed. We cannot recommend Casual Teppan highly enough
