What can I say? Just absolutely the best katsu curry that I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Highly recommended!

“One of the Best Tonkatsu Restaurants in Tokyo”
Along with Ginza Bairin, this is one of the best tonkatsu restaurants I have tried. Price is very reasonable. We preferred the loin cut over the fillet cut. More flavor, texture and fat. Loin portions are generous. Unlimited salad and rice with each set ordered. Simply excellent.

“Delicious tonkatsu pre-fixe meal”
Every dish was delicious and a big meal! The batter of the tonkatsu is nothing like I've tasted in other restaurants outside of Japan. Very light and airy. Definite must-try! Restaurant is also located in a nice shopping area away from the bustling city.

“Melts in Your Mouth - A Tonkatsu Experience to Remember”
Maisen delivers on its promise of melt-in-your-mouth pork cutlets. The texture is incredibly tender—yes, you really can cut it with chopsticks. The craftsmanship behind each cutlet is clear, especially in the delicate breading and rich, sweet sauce that complements the meat without overpowering it.... I tried the "Kurobuta" and was genuinely impressed by the flavor and juiciness. The “Sweet Temptation” pork, made from pigs fed on sandwich crusts, was a unique and flavorful surprise. Only reason it's not a full 5 stars is the price—it’s a little on the premium side. But for the quality and care put into each dish, it’s absolutely worth trying at least once. Aoyama’s flagship store has earned its reputation.
