ダクシン 八重洲店

We were in Tokyo for 6 days ….after spending 6 days in Kyoto. I was craving for Indian food and enjoyed the thali at Dakshin! Rasam and curries with roti / rice was excellent. We went back twice and we’re not disappointed.

Visited Dakshin almost everyday for dinner during our 7 day stay in Tokyo. Location, close to JR Tokyo station made it convenient to visit. It is located in the basement and always found bustling with people. Quantity and quality of food was good, authentic indian taste, we frequently ordered veg Bi...ryani and lemon rice. Rice used appeared to be Basmati and good quality. Chole Bhature was ok. Overall, found this place better than many other veg Indian restaurants in Japan.

This was my visit to an Indian restaurant and it happened to be in Tokyo Luckily one of our team members was from South India and she guided us through the menu I’m unsure what we had and one item I can recommend was the curry and lentils. They were spicy and very good Strange little place where... you take a narrow and bit tight staircase below street level to enter the restaurant From my limited knowledge, this was quite good

We were trying Indian restaurants throughout Japan during our visit. Dakshin is not spacious but if you are interested in authentic south Indian, this is your place. Bisibela bath was terrific! The service was friendly and felt natural. Costs on par for Tokyo

Dropping in for lunch, we had to wait 5 minutes to be shown to a table. This tiny restaurant in the basement was fully packed. More that half the customers were Indians which is always a good sign. We ordered the Dosa meal with a choice of two curries. The meals were served in reasonable time ...and besides the two curry dishes we had a cup of Rasam soup, a tiny piece of oven baked chicken (not tandoori) and the vegetable samabaru that goes with Dosa Quick meal, prices are little on the high side, perhaps 25% higher that what the value of the actual meal. Restaurant is crowded and noisy. You can take the elevator or walk down and up the stairs to the basement floor.
