一切ワクワク感のない、味、鮮度、接客、全てにガッカリ。DON’T GO THERE FOR A DINNER , you will be disappointed!! Some of their sushi were stinky and greasy. It is NOT worth for the price(¥20000-¥30000 per person)at all. 私の誕生日のデートで伺いました。 私は日本人、彼は日本語を話すアメリカ人で彼が予約してくれたのですが、電話予約の時から紹介などのない外国人を敬遠したようでしたが、日本在住である旨を伝え、なんとか予約を取ってく...れたようです。最近は旅行者(だけではないですが！)による飲食店のドタキャンが多いときくので、仕方ないかなと思い、銀座デートとお寿司を楽しみにしていました。 当日お店に到着すると、「いらっしゃいませ」などの出迎えもなく、スタッフ同士がガヤガヤ話す中に私たちが顔を出しようやく、「あ、、〇〇様、、ですか？」と言われました。 え、、こんなにカジュアルな店なの、、？とおもったのですが、その後、カウンターに着いても20代と思しき板前さんにぶっきらぼうに無言でお寿司を出されるだけ。こちらが、質問したりして、ボソッと応える程度。なんなんだ。。 特に素晴らしいと思えるようなネタもなく、お店のオリジナルであるらしい胡麻醤油漬けの白身魚に至っては、古い油の臭いがして、う、、っと気持ち悪くなりました。自腹で行った席ならその場で、これはちょっとおかしくないですか？と言いたかったですが、せっかく誕生日祝いをしてくれている相手に申し訳ないと思い、黙って食べました。我慢したぶん、ここに書きたくなったのかもしれません。笑 後から、お店のご主人が登場し、馴染みのお客にはその方が対応されていました。一般客や外国人は、なんというか、軽くあしらわれるんだなーという感じでした。お客を選んでる、というなら仕方ないですね。同様にこちらにも選ぶ権利はあるので、もう2度と伺いません。 お会計時も、お酒一合で2人で4万円ほどはしていたようなので(この点は私は支払っていないので正確な料金はわかりませんが)決して安くはなく、もっと安くて美味しい素晴らしいお寿司屋さんはいくらもあります。 お寿司やさんのカウンター特有の、ワクワク感が一切ない、むしろハラハラするひたすら残念なお店でした。良い口コミも多いので、もちろんこちらで良い時間を過ごした方もいると思うのですが、それだけを見て私たちのようにガッカリな時間を過ごす方が今後ないよう、今回の経験を書きました。

If you are going for lunch, yes it might be worth it. BUT DO NOT GO FOR DINNER! I have warned you. I have been going to Japan at least 3 times a year for the past decade and know my omakase's VERY well. The omakase here is WAY TOO overpriced. 16,000yen for an omakase without otoro and without uni,... but with very ghastly seasame oil soaked Tai nigiri instead, is unheard of in most of the well known omakase restaurants. Lunch MIGHT be worth it but please do not rely on this for your dinner omakases. You will be thoroughly disappointed.

There are many great sushi places in Tokyo but few who provide wine pairings as well. A local friend looks us here as it's his favourite place. It was so good we came back later in the week for another round. Quality as you expect is very high and service is excellent. Enough English is spoken t...o get through what you like and don't like. My wife likes to cut her sushi in half so once they noticed this they served hers pre-cut. Cost is very good value when you count the wine included at less than US$300 per person.

Sushi Karaku was a 10/10 experience. Right outside the Gonzales subway station in the basement of a building we entered sushi heaven. The chef has a unique spin on a Japanese Classic, offering wine pairings with each omakase coarse. It was definitely pricey at around $220 usd per person but there a...re ala carte options and less expensive omakase options. Also- were in Japan once and this was not our average dinner. Plus: our hotel made us a reservation the morning of. Cons: it was so much good I thought I was going to have to get rolled out on a gurney.
