SCAPES THE SUITE

My family and I went to Scapes the Suite for a surprise birthday party. First off, I chose this place thinking we'd be able to see the beach/ocean, but during the summer, the summer house roof covers most of it and the beach view is very slight. Second, we had ordered a birthday cake, which was bro...ught out before the dessert that came with our course meal. They brought it out, we sang happy birthday, they served the course dessert and they took forever to bring out the cake for the birthday. We waited a while, but since they didn't bring it out, I told the server that we were in a hurry and asked if they could please bring out the cake asap. We waited 10 more minutes, no sign of the cake. We had to leave so I asked if we can take the cake to go and they told me that they couldn't because it's a perishable food item! What! I paid about $35 for the cake and we couldn't eat it because they were being too slow and on top of that, they told me that we can't take it home! What a rip off. Are they serving us something that's so close to the expiration date that they can't let us take it off? The service was absolutely horrendous. This is a little more minor, but our server bluntly asked us whose birthday we were celebrating. Who asks that? It was so rude and amateurish. Will never ever be back here again. Unimaginable and completely unacceptable.
