Dining under the care of Sous Chef Shinji Furuya was extraordinary. From the moment we were seated, it we were embarking on journey through the art of Japanese cuisine. Chef Furuya didn’t just prepare food. Even the smallest elements—were masterfully deliberate. It was culinary experience elevated ...to art. We left with a sense of deep gratitude—not only for the food, but for the thought, respect, and soul poured into every moment. It was, truly, one of the most extraordinary dining experiences we’ve ever had.

We ate at the teppanyaki section of the restaurant. The food was outstanding. We had the tasting menu which allowed us to try a variety of foods, paired with many different accompaniments. This is a dining experience where you sit opposite the chef who prepares your meal. The ambiance is elegant..., matching the presentation for each dish. Our chef, Shinji Furuya, was outstanding, explains everything he did, answering all of our questions and educating us about Japanese cuisine. Shinji couldn’t have been more accommodating. He made an exceptional meal unforgettable.

Strange experience. Booked the restaurant the day of reservation and they couldn’t get me in. I asked again and they managed to fit me in. Restaurant was not busy at all. 5 people at sushi bar. Food was outstanding. Service for this level of restaurant was great with chefs, poor with service staff. ...If you had leftover food, they simply left it. If you dropped anything, staff left it on bar. Smallest glass of wine I have ever been served. Very nice restaurant with high quality of food but eating solo in an empty restaurant with no English is not a great travel experience.

My husband and I visited this sushi restaurant during our trip to Japan, and we made wonderful memories. Thank you so much, Chef Kojima! On the day we visited, my husband was not feeling well because he was overworked, but the staff was very kind and caring. They served him a gentle herbal tea with...out caffeine, which came from Okinawa, a place related to my husband's grandmother. It was amazing that they remembered his roots from our earlier conversation. The staff also noticed my husband’s condition and served the course meal quickly without us asking. Since it was our wedding anniversary, they surprised us with a beautiful dessert to celebrate. Their thoughtful attention made our experience truly special. The food was delicious, and the quality of the fish was top-notch. We couldn’t ask for anything better! They explained the menu in English and even shared interesting facts about different fish, making it easy for us to understand. It showed how professional they are in every way. My husband loved the food, the night view, and the service, and he fell even more in love with Japan. He wanted to give a big tip, but since we were in Japan, we decided to show our gratitude by writing this honest review instead. Next time, we want to come back when we are both feeling great. Thank you very much.
