Really nice coffee at this place which is just outside of the Tsukiji Fish Market. Only a small place but they do really nice coffee and nice pastries. The place to visit when you are tired after wandering around the Fish Market

Nice little spot with great coffee choices next to the fish markets to beat the heat. For coffee in Tokyo (for a guy from NZ where coffee is a religion) it's pretty damn good.

“Hands Out the Menu to People Passing so He Can Act Rude to Them In Store”

We went to Kenichi Yonemotos “neighbourhood” coffee shop dur My our vacation in late August 2018. All I can say is the owner, Kenichi Yonemoto, is an extremely rude man. After touring the tsukiji fish market for a few hours we decided that we needed a break. We decided to stop by a locally owned c...offee shop that proudly boasts their New York Times article on the wall. It started out fine. We placed our order with the cashier. However, after we placed our order the cashier noticed that my girlfriend had a small sweet that she had purchased from the market. To put it in perspective, this was a bite sized sweet and nothing big. The cashier still politely told my girlfriend that there is no outside food allowed. She politely obliged and placed it on the table we were going to sit at without any intention of eating it. After we received our coffee we sat down to enjoy our beverage with the sweet still sitting at the side of the table. However, this was not good enough for Kenichi Yonemoto, as he gave me a dagger stare for a good two minutes (I was facing the cash register and my girlfriend had her back towards them). I was thinking what does this guy want. Eventually I put two and two together that having a bite sized sweet at the side of the table was not good enough but we had no where to put it and we were forced to throw it out. I don’t get this guy. There is a New York Times article on the wall about how he is all about tsukiji market and directs tourists to where they want to go. I didn’t see any of this. He is a BITTER RUDE old man. Also when we were sitting there we noticed that a Hong Kong girl was sitting at one of his table outside. She came in briefly and ask if they had wifi. He said no. Fair enough. However, he then condescending talk to the other cashier and mention wifi with a smug smile. I don’t speak Japanese but I understood enough. A simple no would suffice but he had to be rude about it. I see Japanese patrons really enjoy his coffee shop so maybe he just hates Gijians. Well he definitely fooled the New York Times journalist if that’s the case. Apparently his daughter owns a coffee shop right in tsukiji market. Hopefully she is a bit more understanding. Coffee is just average and nothing special. Pretty much the same as Starbucks or Costa. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
