We had a group dinner for 26 people with fixed menue and all drinks free for three hours. Food was excellent with enough for young students to be satisfied.

We've stayed in Maebashi for two nights in the Comfort Hotel. Since this place is located on the ground floor of this Hotel we gave it a try the second night. And we were pleasantly surpised. It's really nicely set-up. There are a bunch of open tables and also quite a bunch of separate rooms/cubicl...es with closing doors. We got one of that. The good thing is you really have privacy in there and won't get disturbed by other guests. The menu was huge....and only in japanese. Luckily there were lots of pictures inside. So the old point-to-order worked very well (with one small misunderstanding). There's really something for everybody on the menu. Fish, Sashimi, Sushi, meats, skewers, Gyoza, rice dishes, veggies, set-menus etc. We ordered lots of different food. We had a Sashimi Plate, meat skewers, organ/intestine skewers, cheese rolls, yellowtail collar and some fried cheese/mushroom thingy (check the pic). The Sashimi was presented very nicely and was very fresh. The meat skewers tasted very good, especially with the different sauces/toppings. The Yellowtail and the cheese/mushroom were also very good choices. The cheese rolls were nothing special though. The organ/intestine skewers ....well, my wife liked them....I didn't. There's also a big list of drinks....wine, beer, cocktails, shots....we ended up having 3 cocktails each. The service was very friendly and helpful, even though they were not really english-speaking...and we didn't speak japanese. But it was good fun and we ended up having a very good evening here!
