“Nice Spot for Fans of the Show, But Not Quite Meeting the Par”
As a big fan of the Japanese drama La Grand Maison Tokyo, I was excited to check out this restaurant since it was featured in the series. When I heard they were about to remodel, it seemed like the perfect excuse to visit during my birthday month. Here’s the thing: the food was definitely decent and... there were quite a few options, but honestly, my expectations were set pretty high. After having dined at true Michelin-starred places and getting swept up in all those shows about earning three stars, I hoped this would be a similar experience. We went for the five-course meal, and while everything was good, there were a few things that didn’t quite land. First, the difference between here and a true Michelin spot was pretty clear. The food and service were pleasant, but the overall experience just didn’t feel as seamless or special. For example, the staff don’t speak English, which normally wouldn’t be a big deal, but since I’ve lived in the US for 30 years—even though I speak Japanese—translating everything for my group made the meal feel less relaxing. I was actually working as a translator, and could not relax at all. At other Michelin-related spots I’ve tried, staff could communicate in English, so everyone felt included. Another thing: my personal diet is a bit lighter on red meat and heavier on fish and veggies. They served a pretty sizable piece of foie gras. I usually enjoy foie gras in small portions, but this was just too much for me and hard to manage. That’s not really the restaurant’s fault, but it did affect my enjoyment. Then there was the wine pairing. Unlike some other fine dining experiences, here you have to pick your wines, and there was a bit of sales pressure to upgrade, which made things a little less comfortable. I was hoping for a smoother, more curated approach. All in all, if you’re a huge fan of the TV show or want to see the unique décor, it’s a cool spot to visit once. But if you’re looking for that truly unforgettable, top-tier dining experience, you might walk away wishing for a bit more.

“World class fine dining providing the best of Lyon in Tokyo”
Nothing less than perfection. The food is absolutely world class and the service from every single member of staff was exemplary. The restaurant promises the same dishes that are on offer in Lyon and it makes good on that commitment. I was particularly impressed with how the restaurant marked our we...dding anniversary. A great evening savouring the finest of French food in lovely surroundings.

“Old school recipe with nice environment”
We come here for my wife birthday lunch,We found that it’s was amazing place with old school style , which come with waiting area , champagne trolley , cheese service . We took four course menu plus the traditional Paul bocuse truffle soup, the soup is excellent, I think it’s not easy to find somet...hing closer in Asia . Good food and good service

A bit pricey with classic french dishes. Good service nice location. Detailed presentation. Must try the Truffle soup VGE as this is the signature one.
