“Average Japanese food, there are better places around.”
Matsuya is a famous chain of fast food restaurants serving set meals and you order your food at a machine where you also pay. This one is located close to the entrance/exit of Akabane station in Tokyo. We were there quite early and the place was quite empty. It's clean and nice looking inside with l...ots of sauces and condiments. I ordered a salmon steak set meal which came with miso soup, steamed white rice, a piece of seaweed and something sticky. The food was a little bland and while it was just ok, I kind of regretted eating here since there are so many good restaurants in the area.

“Very nice bowl of beef with rice”
This is a chain of store which has consistent food quality. Almost like a salaryman’s restaurant who would pop in for a quick meal before heading off. The quality of beef was pretty decent and the sauce was addictive. Good place for a quick meal and reasonably priced.
