Nice little place worth the short wait to get in. You know it’s authentic when all the customers are Japanese. The chicken curry was strong and served very hot (temperature). Also the chicken and egg rice bowl, some Japanese call it mother and child, was also very tasty and served with a nice miso s...oup. The service is nice. Cash only.

Before our visit, I often asked the restaurant about their menu via message menu in gmap and they’re very responsive even though I used google translate to communicate with them in Japanese. I’m very happy with the foods and their service. They patiently explained their menu, because they speak limi...ted english and I speak very very limited japanese. If you came to this restaurant, order their shrimp tempura, smelt fish tempura, and fried sakura ebi. They’re so delicious!!

Old restaurant right opposite the lake Ashi boat tour. fantastic soba. I had the duck soba which was excellent. 2 floors and always crowded. if you are on the 2nd floor you will have a good view of the lake. try everything on the menu.

Like an earlier poster, we stumbled on the wonderful restaurant, looking for tempura after the lake cruise. The tempura was excellent and very filling, and as noted, the draft Asahi was very cold. There was a very diverse group of diners--many Japanese, the group next to us was Canadian, and on pa...st them were some Aussies.. Take note, like many Japanese restaurants, it only takes cash....

Stumbled upon this place by accident and very happy we did , the Prawn Tempura were huge and the Beers were ice cold , service was lovely
