“Amazing little surprise seemingly only known to locals”
We stumbled across this amazing little spot just down the road from our hotel and close to Ueno station. There are lots of great family apartments around this restaurant and you would probably never see it unless you walked straight past it. To our great surprise, amazing miso Made with cockles.. in...expensive but quality fresh sashimi and lots of other small touches that made it special. On the night we were there it was chock-full of local business people mixing it up and having a ball.. highly recommended

“Really good sashimi”
Went on my first night in Tokyo based on recommendation of woman who worked at front desk of my hotel. Was very happy with the recommendation. Got the five fish sashimi, pickled vegetables and sake for less than 4,000 yen. Was the only foreigner in there which was fine by me. They did however ha...ve an English menu and staff spoke a few words. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go again.
