“Just ok”
Kurobuta, Pork and more pork Expect to pay 4000-6000 per head (including 1-2 drink) depending on what you order - shabu shabu. My take is that if you are not going for the shabu shabu, go elsewhere Environment: tyipcal japanese tatami styled restaurant. Nothing fancy. “Kurobuta (black pig)”
The speciality of this restaurant is the black pig. You get slices of this special pork which you cook by yourself in the steamboat (hot pot). It is really delicious and special meal. MUST TRY!
“Charming people, tasty food”
Chose this because although only Japanese reviews it had a 5* rating. The people were surprised to have English speakers visit and could not have been more welcoming. Smart phone translation was helpfully used by the team serving us. We sampled 6 dishes a la carte and all were tasty. It's a short... tram ride from the downtown area with a tram stop just across the junction. Bill was around £35 for 2. As we were leaving the manager asked us to pose for a photo with him as a souvenir of his English guests! That tends to confirm its a locals place.
