生け簀の銀次 泡瀬本舗

Difficult to find without using the Japanese in a search, so here that is: "Ikesunoginji (生け簀の銀次 泡瀬店)" Pretty much Japanese only, but you can point to photos on the menu to get by. They have a wood burning grill outside for many of the food items. There is free parking on the side of the building. T...hey take credit cards. Unfortunately, they allow smoking inside, so it can be overwhelming if everyone around is smoking. The service is friendly and excellent. The regular menu is very large including sashimi, raw chicken, horse and horse liver. There are also many cooked items. The sashimi presentation is always grand, but so is the sake presentation. Delicious sakes at reasonable prices. They have a rather large drink menu, too (shochu, awamori, sake, whiskey and other drinks). The specials menu was a yard long plus there was a specials board next to the seat. The tempura was light and not greasy. It was so difficult to decide, so we overate. Worth it! Cannot wait to go back.

This is an izakaya seafood restaurant, just like Spain’s tapas bar. Nice nautical ambiance with cheerful staff. The delicious clam soup was complimentary which started the meal. We ordered from the menu which showed pictures of the food. This goes well with non-Japanese speaking diners. All the food... we ordered were delicious and freshly prepared. Service was prompt and courteous. Great dining experience.

From the outside it looks small, but with the use of clever design and mirrors, the inside looks much larger. They take reservations, which are a good idea, since it is small. They grill foods on a special wood (looks like hickory to me, but not sure). They do this outside, so there are no smoky sme...lls inside Nice! They are known for seafood but have many interesting foods including beef, chicken, veal and even lamb. Lots of vegetarian choices, too. They have a huge regular menu and a very large daily specials menu, too (it really does change every day). You'll love the food here and especially the experience. It is mostly in Japanese, but you can get by with English in a pinch. Cannot wait to go back!

Great izakaya! Outside a bbq was burning which gives a nice smell of burning so already outside our appetite for good food increased by the moment. Inside the place looks very nice. Counter seats in front of the chef's and private booths for up to 6 people. The food menu has a very wide selection of... dishes. Sea food, meat, vegetables and an extensive drink menu too. All food we ordered was of very high quality and very delicious too. Presentation of the dishes was very good too. We had local beers and Nihonshyu (Sake). The waitress advised us and even let us taste the sake before we did made our choice. We really do recommend this restaurant. Only one comment, the menu is in Japanese only.

This restaurant is an awesome off- the-beaten path choice for anyone visiting Okinawa. It has great ambiance and delicious food!
