“Friendly and homey place for fresh seafood - cooked or raw, they do both well!”
I would come weekly if i could, they have a wide selection of seafood, great options of set meals. The seafood was so fresh that even my husband had sea urchin and ebi (he usually avoids them). The staff didnt speak english but it was totally fine as their menu had english and they were helpful an...d friendly. The lobster grilled with sea urchin was heavy but so good, then we balanced the heaviness with a small size sashimi boat which had 30 pcs of sashimi. After we paid they gave us dessert too! Local okinawa snacks that i’m eager to try once i have some stomach space.

“fresh cuisine”
I have ate in many places in Onna and Hamanoya has got to be one of the best, no frills sort of place but with good freshly cooked food, fresh fish is on the board which can be cooked many ways,I opted for salt baked which was excellent. plenty of parking out front and just behind the libary, cold b...eer on tap.

“Cosy restaurant off the beaten track”
I'm always dubious when a local eatery is mainly patronised by tourists (from HK and Taiwan from the sound of their accents) but then again, we went after typical lunch hours past 2.30pm. Service was good. Staff can speak basic English. We had the buttered fish, a sashimi set and seagrapes, all whic...h were fresh and delicious. Pity we were a small family of two and a half (toddler in tow) so we didn't get to try to the very affordable lobster set and puffer fish as well. Bill was... JPY 4,290 inclusive of all taxes. Thumbs up.

“Not fancy, but authentic ”
We eat here every time we visit and it is a favorite spot. It is NOT fancy and looks a little shabby but it is real Okinawan food. They serve a lot of side dishes with their meals so you get a taste of some things you may not normally order. I cannot help with the menu but I always get the eel plate... and my uncle always gets a whole fish and everything always gets eaten.

“Great Japanese Restaurant in Ona Okinawa”
It is a must try if you are traveling past the area. Search for its location, plan it into your itinerary. As long as you like Japanese cuisine, you will not regret. There are already many reviews of the dishes here. So I will not repeat.
