“After Samurai Residence visit.”
Value for money. Traditional ambience. Tasty food and prompt service. (winter) Picture menu. Easy to locate by road side w free parking. Soba set tasting portions of 7 types of serving - 1000Y only. A good mixture of locals, Japanese tourists and overseas tourists.

“We waited 45 minutes for our order!”
After ordering, we waited 45 minutes to get our food! All the other guests waited as much or longer. For a bowl of noodles, this is totally unjustifiable. When we eventually complained, we did not get a word of apology, just long speeches in Japanese (nobody spoke a single word of English). The food... was just OK, really nothing exceptional. The meat was really bad.
