“traditional Tonkotsu Ramen”
One of the oldest Tonkotsu Ramen restaurant. Depending on your experience of Tokontsu ramen, some people may not tolerate this smell. Locals love the flavor and the taste of this ramen.

“Famous Kurume Ramen”
Taiho is a famous restaurant of Kurume Ramen. First you write down your name on a waiting list, and you have to wait until your name is called. It is worth waiting, because their Ramen is really delicious. Even if you don’t like Tonkotsu Ramen, you might like their Ramen, which is never too thick.

“VISITOR TRAP”
As recommended by travel website I was lured to this Ramen shop last time during my visit on Fukuoka. I was surprised to see the usual egg in the ramen was not any kind of semi-liquid "Onsen" egg but an thin over-cooked fully-done egg SLICE!!! It was a slice, not even half, not even 1/3 of an egg!!!... Totally unbelievable. Why still so many good review here? I don't know why. The soup base is just ordinary. For this egg, I will give it negative score, but as it was overall not terrible, so, 2 stars.

“Distinct Smell Hits You Upon Entrance”
Upon entry to the eatery, I was immediately hit by what smells like smell socks, only to later realised that it is the smell of the tonkotsu broth. The queer experience of sitting in a funny smelling premise and savouring a good bowl of ramen is not to be missed when you are in Kurume. The broth sho...uld be a thumbs up for tonkotsu lovers, and the noodles did not disappoint.

“Yummy to death”
We all ordered black noodles with an additional egg on top. We didn’t talk when we eat cos the food is too great. I have been to Japan over 20 times. I would name this shop top 3 ramen shops I have been to. Remember to go with dumplings too. They are deep fried really well.
