“Hearty and oh so tasty”
We arrived in Fukuoka feeling a little bit worse for wear with sore tummies and decided that a visit to Toriden for a late lunch would just calm the bellies. True enough, from the cup of broth, to the chicken pieces and then their famous chicken balls followed by the zosui (rice cooked in broth), ev...erything was amazing. Both ladies who helped us cook the chicken were so friendly and approachable despite some language differences. (Shout out to Tanaka-san too for recommending other local eats which we loved!)

“So tasty/thoughtful”
Shout out to Shogo for being a huge boss. The dinner was a set course focused around chicken, but the level of sophistication of the meal and the service far surpassed the price-per-person. It was definitely the best nabe I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant. I would recommend any tourist or local who en...joys amazing service and delicious, tasteful food to come try it out.

“Yummy Chicken Hotpot”
The hotpot was great on a cold, rainy night. We ordered 3 different sets 3000, 4000 n 5000 yen. The 3000 yen did not come with tempura whilst the 4000 yen did not come with dessert. There was also a slight variation in one of the sub dishes offered for the 4000 yen vs the 5000 set. The chicken was ...superbly tender n the broth was rich n delicious. There were also 2 servings of mixed vegetables. It was a very satisfying n comforting meal n we would definitely return the next time we visit Fukuoka
